Shells/Rocks/Stones
I once walked around my apartment community collecting rocks of the appropriate size, shape and smoothness to put along the bottom of a long tea light candle stand. I'm sure I looked like I was dealing with some major issues waddling, hunched over, pruning the grounds of pebbles with my t-shirt stretched out at the bottom to make a bowl to hold my dirty treasures. But once I washed off my pile of rocks and lined the candle holder with them the whole design looked like it had been packaged and sold that way.
